Early this morning, Microsoft finally let loose Office on iPhone. It’s been rumored for years and is now finally available… for Office 365 subscribers. That’s right. In order to use Office on your iPhone, you must pay $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. There’s no iPad version yet, and that’s not really surprising considering the commercials Microsoft has been running lately. Microsoft demonstrates the iPads inability to edit Office documents – which now appears to be the case only because of Microsoft’s choice.
Office 365 for iPhone comes with all of the features you’d expect, like access to all of your documents in the cloud and full support for Office formatting. Resume Reading keeps your place when working with long documents in Word on your desktop – for files saved in SkyDrive. You can also edit recent documents while offline, or even create brand new Word and Excel documents right on your iPhone.
